About Ristau Entertainment
Ristau Entertainment was established in 1995 in conjunction with the production team of Collier, Bonas, McCarthur, Ltd. to create Whole Lotta Shakin', the Explosive Story of Jerry Lee Lewis.
This play premiered at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, England, in 1996. The show was picked up for further production by Laurie Mansfield's International Artists. The play was re-worked and re-titled Great Balls of Fire, the Jerry Lee Lewis Story and had enormously successful runs at the Plymouth Theatre Royal and the Birmingham Hippodrome before transferring to the Cambridge Theatre in London's West End in 1998.
Ristau Entertainment has used the success of this initial project to grow and expand. We now provide a wide range of services to theatres, actors, and writers.
We function as producer for new works and help connect artists with theatres and other professionals. We design, construct, sell, and rent an extensive line of theatre costumes, props, and stage weapons. We host actor resumes and photos. We post contest information for writers and provide instruction in a variety of theatre arts disciplines. Our primary function is now as a small press offering publishing opportunities for new writing and representation to new writers.
Essentially, Ristau Entertainment exists to remove the obstacles which impede the growth and development of the emerging artist and to foster the growth of a vibrant artistic community.
